For this project I constructed a four by six foot multitouch screen using frustrated total internal reflection for a digital multi-touch string instrument. The materials used were wood, LEDs, plexiglass, and a projector. The instrument functioned by pulling out many digital "strings" to desired lengths in order to set the notes. The player could then strum and pinch each string to create music. Due to the design using frustrated light there was no limitation aside from space to the number of touch points.
